Did anyone watch any of the NBA games last night? That Bucks comeback was fun to watch. I didn't catch the Raptors game, but from the final score, it looked like a close loss. Saw highlight of the Booker game winner against the Knicks; never really liked Booker as a player, but that shot was a beauty.
I didn't catch any basketball yesterday.
Do the Bucks look like their starting to get sorted out? Coming into the season, I thought Dame and Giannis might be the best superstar offensive fit ever.
I always liked watching Booker, but I also roll my eyes whenever people talk about him as an MVP candidate.

Bucks looking better from what I have seen. What I can't figure out is the Magic.
I look at the Eastern Conference standings and everything makes sense to me except the Magic. Maybe you expected Knicks or Cavs to be in top 6 and the Pacers lower or Raps to be in and Nets out. These are small variances of a game or half a game but I didn't expect the Magic anywhere near the top 3. I thought they would be down around where the Raptors are vying for a play in spot.

The Magic are full of skilled, athletic bigs. That's a good regular season recipe. Once the games start mattering more, I'm sure we'll see the more experienced teams start eking out wins against them.

I think like any combo, they need time to sort things out. But the Bucks supporting cast need to step up and play well for them to win, can't just rely on Giannis and Dame. Middleton is out now due to injury, don't know when he will be able to make it back. And their bench definitely don't look very good. So, I think the Bucks will be inconsistent for the next little while. But should definitely become more and more of a threat the more games they play.

I've been saying that the Bucks should go all-in on Caruso. He seems like exactly what their supporting cast is missing, especially as a back court partner for Dame.
reply
Yes, agreed. They had that play defense / do the dirty work guy in Jrue Holiday before, but they traded him for Dame and they need to get someone like that back or else it will be hard for them to win come playoff time. Caruso is a good candidate, and the Bulls is a mess now.
reply
The problem for the Bucks is that there are probably a dozen other teams that would love to land Caruso. I think the Bulls might bundle him with Levine to get out from under that huge contract.
reply
Also, what assets do the Bucks have on hand to trade for Caruso? At this point, the Bulls probably want to rebuild, and want 1st round picks. But didn't the Bucks already trade away all their foreseeable future 1st round picks to get Dame? Hard for the Bucks to work out a deal to get Caruso. And you're right, other teams want Caruso as well and these other teams could work out trade packages that are much more appealing to what the Bucks have to offer.
reply
That's a good point. I haven't looked into their assets, but presumably teams like Miami or the Lakers have more assets available and must be keeping an eye on Caruso.

I was watching the football game but I caught a bit of the Raptors game. Close but a lot of missed opportunities for Raps. Shooting 25% from 3 and 69% from the line didn't help. They should have won that game.

That sounds like the Raps story of this season thus far. Barnes had been playing well and they have good, young talent on the team. Many games they should have won but lost due to missed opportunity or bad shooting, especially in the 4th. I hope they work it out and pick up their clutch game / 4th quarter game over the rest of the season.
