Apparently some NBA teams are taking the NBA in-season tournament much more seriously than expected. It did lead to a flurry of activity and some compelling potential outcomes on the final night. It was a fun night of basketball considering most games weren't really that close.
The playoffs are set and things should really start to get interesting with the pool. Keep an eye out for @Undisciplined's Quarterfinal matchups post.
I watched a bit of the Leafs v.s Panthers game last night. The Leafs won, which means it went to OT and SO. The only way that team can win. Seems like a lot of parity this year in the NHL with many teams appearing to be good but not great. The frozen frenzy pool early in the season was fun. It would be nice if the NHL did that a few times a year. I wouldn't be surprised if they do something similar to the NBA in season tournament in the future.
Everyone in the baseball world is waiting to see where Ohtani signs. Not much is hot around the MLB hot stove season so far. A few notable players signed but it appears teams are waiting to see where Ohtani lands before moving onto other players. I was hoping to infuse some baseball talk back into these posts during the offseason but MLB isn't giving me much to work with. Hopefully that changes.
That's all for today.
Sats for all!
Cheers,
