Safety practice on Nostr
- always use a VPN
- use Alby and load keys from there instead of from any clients
- think twice before posting ANYTHING
- avoid posting anything too personal
- photo metadata: I'm not sure about this, but I removed metadata from the camera setting
- article-wise, avoid posting directly - post links instead because you can always trash the link if one day you feel like to
Hardcore stackers, do I miss anything 👀
- if you use nostr market, use a different pubkey, not your personal one.
- male backup of your follows / contacts, relays sometimes are nuking that data
- if you want to keep a backup of your posts you can use https://nostrsync.live/
I don't care too much about my shitposting on nostr, I usually post only memes and sometimes my guides links, but not anything special.

many people are posting way too personal things there, many might regret it one day - freedom comes from responsibility!

Ah sure and that's because many do not make the difference between private and public life.
For many the online life is like private life, but they want "privacy" online... LOL I am just laughing when I see that.
There's no "privacy" online, except when you use a different "identity" than your real one, a decoy. Even for me sometimes is hard not to fall into this trap...

and stay lowkey like @nemo fish, but sometimes I also confused what's the real? like things I shared online are real too.

nemo doesn't give a fuck... he's the chimp with the AK-47 so nobody will dare to fuck with him...

Great list! It might even deserve its own separate post :)
I would add this ones aswell:
- be aware that DMs leak metadata, the contents of the direct message will be encrypted, but other metadata like the sender and recipient can be viewed by anyone.
- only use trusted known relays

let me see if I can come up with a more detailed post:)

yes, DM is horrible, and you can't reject who's sending you msg and "showing" there.
only use trusted known relays
in case they nuked your notes?
