I created this territory as a place to discuss books and articles that do not necessarily have anything to do with bitcoin, although bitcoin related discussion is of course welcomed and encouraged.

I loved to read since I was a kid. One of the first books I remember picking up on my own was "We Reached The Moon", about the 1969 lunar landing. The space program became the first of many obsessions I have fallen into as the result of a book.

Reading "On The Road" by Jack Kerouac sent me in a whole new direction. I discovered the power of fiction.

I could babble on and on about myself, but I hope this territory becomes a place where people can find kindred souls to discuss the writing that moves them. I intend to stay out of the way and see how it evolves.

We have a lot of common history there, which doesn't surprise me. Dickens, Twain, Orwell and Huxley. There's a fearsome foursome. I have a big hole in my reading history when it comes to science fiction. I'm trying to remedy that.

Yes. Hitchhiker's Guide is one I have read and enjoyed. I did read Jules Verne, Ray Bradbury and HG Wells as a kid. I enjoyed them, but I never had an obsession in that direction. The closest I came was Fahrenheit 451, but that was probably because of my natural libertarian bent. I also liked the Martian Chronicles. Maybe I should read Dune next?
