If you can't buy a non-Internet connected appliance then just don't connect it to the Internet. We have a washer and dryer that have "smart" functionality. Never connected them to anything. Problem solved. That is until they start shipping cellular radios in these things.
There is Peer-to-Peer WiFi connectivity, so in theory a WiFi device could potentially connect to a neighbors device, and if that's connected to the Internet, then your device is as well.
