It's related with the "compating database" task that only run when you restart the node. It's different on CLN.

Currently about once a week due to https://github.com/lightningnetwork/lnd/issues/8250. I only run compaction at most once every two weeks, though. It's not worth it, as my databases are small enough (I use my own fix for the sphinxreplay.db bloat bug).

A routing node? maybe a little more. A personal node, much less. You open channel to other nodes to route payments, the max bandwidth for the channel is the amount you open it.
