Taxman (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxman) was one of the first songs George Harrison wrote. He was dismayed to find that most of his earnings were being swallowed up by taxes. Inspired by his anger at the money-gobbling establishment, he wrote Taxman.
Best lyrics:
(if you drive a car, car;) – I’ll tax the street; (if you try to sit, sit;) – I’ll tax your seat; (if you get too cold, cold;) – I’ll tax the heat; (if you take a walk, walk;) – I’ll tax your feet.
Now my advice for those who die, (taxman) Declare the pennies on your eyes. (taxman) ‘Cause I’m the taxman, Yeah, I’m the taxman

Excellent choice! Libertarian anthem

Superb! Ray Davies of the Kinks touched on the same theme, though in their case the song's protagonist is not a sympathetic figure; however it did tap into the general mood of the time of taxation being too high yet at the same time the song reminds us money doesn't buy happiness (but as we all know, neither does poverty!)... Another great track
