You've did your part and hiked the day, set up camp somewhere nice, food's about to be ready and there's still a few hours before bedtime... How do you fill them?

Books are a solid one, of course, any recommendations?

What other means of amusement have you guys discovered to work well, especially on dreary, rainy days?

Bass fishing 100% or people watching. Literally I urge you to go to a public park in the middle of the day/during peak busy times and just watch people. Keep your phone in your pocket and just WATCH, LISTEN, AND ANALYZE. It's truly fascinating especially for someone like me with a degree in communications. I can pick up on tendencies and analyze patterns in non verbal cues and sense tension very well if there is any between the people associating together. It's truly something I find peaceful and enjoyable. Also, it's fucking hilarious sometimes.

Oh, "watching people" has got to be one of those activities that many people claim only they do, but in reality most do! 😆

I get what you're saying, though, especially with your background.

Thank you for posting in the ~Outdoors territory!

I have a few for you. This one is a little lame but I go by a motto, “leave it better than you found it”

  1. You could spend some time picking up trash that a**holes left behind.
  2. Card games
  3. Sunset fishing is some of the best as far as “bite time”
  4. Push ups/ stretch/ yoga
  5. Sometimes it’s fine spotting wild
    Life, birds, etc…
  6. Smoke some weed 😂😂🤣
  7. Mediate- with the sound of rain it’s very relaxing.
