I kinda missed the bring me hype they burst onto the scene just as I was walking into the real world and didn't keep up with new stuff as well as I used to.
I went back and listened to a lot of their stuff, shadow moses stood out to me as a great track, actually that whole album was really good. I think early days/young Olli Sykes came across in interviews in a way that kinda put me off, but I hear he grew up over time like most people do. I am enjoying this track as I type, Ollie's vocals have definitely improved over time, he seems to effortlessly move between cleans and screams and his lyrics are really clever.
That's really cool! Shows the history behind it all aswell. And for a band formed in the 90s they really give that 60s/70s sound. I'd never heard of a town of mermaids before! I knew it was done as a display in a lot of places but this town really seems to claim it as theirs and that's cool! Great job supergrass!
I know Weeki Wachee well. Took my daughter to mermaid shows. Pretty unique place. I think it was one of the first roadside attractions on a U.S. interstate
