So, one thing first: The word "brigading". I don't want to advocate for brigading in a sense of coordinated flooding of targeted online spaces. I don't think brigading is ethical. I don't think brigading is productive or convinces anyone.

Why online

I think the Bitcoin community is dishonest about orangepilling. We talk a lot about friends and family. But the reality is that most of us have been orangepilled online. If you have been orangepilled offline - you probably spend hours of time afterwards learning about Bitcoin online.
This makes a lot of sense. Where else would you have hours of time at hand at a time to learn about something? In the library? Did you listen to a person talking offline for hours? Let's be serious.

Why orangepilling

Using social media to advocate for Bitcoin in the mainstream is honorable. Everyone deserves a chance to make up their mind about Bitcoin. If we don't advocate for Bitcoin, nobody will. Imagine you were a poor soul out there that has never heard about Bitcoin (e.g. you're 8 years old or from a country that only recently came online). Don't you deserve a chance to hear about Bitcoin? Wouldn't you be glad to get the chance to read a sentence from your current real self about it?
Communist propaganda needs pushback. People are going to read it out of curiosity and will get drawn into the vortex. Give them at least a chance to read our perspective. And they are very good at weaponizing dishonest mainstream appeal with places like https://www.reddit.com/r/LateStageCapitalism/ at the same time as we are withdrawing into nostr/damus, SN, local meetup groups etc Don't you fuckin see how this is a real bad combo in the long term????????

My suggestion

  1. We need a place to find places where to convince people of Bitcoin.
  2. We don't have to orangepill people completely... implanting a seed is enough and it even helps with adding the Bitcoin perspective to every place where a search function leads or where an LLM learns.
  3. Nobody got time for this. But everyone has a few minutes every now end then. Seriously, don't waste your life on this. Just a few minutes are enough to factcheck "muh only x transactions onchain muh" or telling communists that central government planning isn't good actually. When you write paragraphs (like I'm doing right now) that nobody reads, you lose. Also don't waste your time on other culture-war topics. Culture-war convinces nobody by design.
Final questions for you:
What would be a good place for this?
