For the one that were going a bit out of topic on my previous post about Desktop OS market shares, here is the latest market share (%) of mobile operating systems data collected in October 2023 by StatCounter Global Stats:
Android 70.1% iOS 29.2% HarmonyOS 0.7% Others <0.1%
Android is the most popular mobile operating system, with a market share of over 70%. iOS is the second most popular mobile operating system, with a market share of around 29%. HarmonyOS is a relatively new operating system from Huawei, and it has a market share of around 0.7%. Other mobile operating systems, such as BlackBerry OS and Tizen, have a very small market share.

Android is the most popular mobile operating system in all regions. However, the market share of iOS varies by region. iOS is more popular than Android in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Android is more popular than iOS in Asia and Africa.

Here too, Android is the most popular mobile operating system for both smartphones and tablets. However, iOS has a higher market share for tablets than for smartphones. For the sake of clarifying, I'm not saying the data provided is the source of truth. It's only one of the many data points one can look at, and was for me the easier one to consult to respond to my questions.
Here, as in the previous report, I struggle to see the success of Open Source technology applied to OSs, it's a shame because I truly believe in its superiority. Anyway, hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to share your thoughts below for us all to have a healthy ad constructive conversation.
Sad that Sailfish OS isn't more popular, it's way better architecture than Android.
