I don’t know why I feel different, but I just feel elated.
A 20 day streak is pretty good! Streaks in general feel good, I would say. I think because we realize in these moments that we might have more control over our lives than we thought. We can change habits if we really want to!
I read somewhere that new habits are established after 6 weeks. That's when you don't even think about having to do them. You just do them (without thinking about it). So you're at almost half-time now :)
Reminds me of what I heard about learning to play guitar. You repeat certain finger patterns over and over until it seems your fingers are just fretting the right strings without your brain telling them to.

How long did it take for you to achieve this automaticity with playing the guitar, you reckon?

First of all, I'm not a great guitar player. It's hard to place a time frame on it. I have been playing off and on since high school, but I started taking it seriously 10 years. To get muscle memory for me took a lot of repetition. What's amazing is that once you have it, it seems permanent.

I played some piano yesterday. Felt good when I found the finger pattern again and I could basically close my eyes since just listening to the sound tells me if I am wrong or right and how I need to adjust.
One of the best feelings ever :)

You are too kind! I just Googled - seems that it takes people 66 days on average to form a new habit. But I will make it to the 33 day mark! Haha 💪

Yeeep, after 21 days new habits are established, it definitely seems that this number hides something interesting, it is said that 21 grams is also the weight of our soul, I think satoshi also knew something about this right?
