Not only in terms of books (I've got some great books on anthropology coming, at least I've got high hopes for those, as well as a small starter-book on biology), but also in regards to the summary I've started to write from Harari's "Sapiens".
I'm absolutely astounded as to how much time, effort and concentration it takes to distill a given text to it's most important and telling lines, while keeping it a smooth read!
I've gotten roughly four or five hours of work written down by now - and it's what? a three-minute read?! ... 😆
I really hope you guys will enjoy it once it's close to representing at least a part of the book, it'll take some more hours, though ! 😅
Nonetheless, I'm thoroughly enjoying the above right now, I'm trying my best to write it using my own words with a paraphrase here-and-there, there's no need to reinvent the wheel, after all.
Also; I can highly recommend writing small summaries about books or chapters one enjoys or finds particularly interesting, it really helps with learning and understanding what's being said, as well as remembering it - it takes some time and effort, though !
Absolute respect for people that write books, especially on complex topics like History.
Your's sincerely,
