Wake up every day and try to do things that I think would make for a “good life” or lead to a “better life.” Repeat.
At what point do you step back and recognize “hm, life is better!”?
Or is it more so just the state of mind!

I think the usual points in time are good for stepping back (e.g. new year and birthdays). A state of mind is a good way to describe it!
