That was a pretty damn entertaining game. Just how nervous were you before half time?
I thought it was over when they only got 3 on the first drive out of halftime. I thought they would make adjustments and play better but down 17 and with the way the Lions were moving the ball I thought they needed a TD to have a chance.
They better show up from the opening kickoff in the superbowl. They can't play the way played today and last week early in the game against the Chiefs.
Maybe your DC will tell someone to cover Kelce. It seems like nobody's thought of that yet.
He will get his. Gotta stop the run and pressure Mahomes and not let the receivers beat you. The past two weeks contain and tackling on outside zone runs have been absolutely abysmal.
The thing with those receivers is that they've been doing a good job of getting open all season. They just couldn't catch anything.
If the 49ers don't have a good plan for Kelce, then it's going to be a long day. Fortunately, Warner's like the only guy in the league who might actually be able to cover him.
With all the records he's setting, I've had to grudgingly admit to myself that he is the GOAT of tight ends.
I only recently learned that Detroit fans use S.O.L. for "same old Lions". There was a lot of that in the 2nd half, not to mention Purdy looking like the second coming of Steve Young out there.
I called Dan Campbell the crypto degen of NFL coaches on Nostr. Gambling is great when you win. I didn't mind the first 4th down try when you are up two touchdowns to try to bury your opponent but not taking the 3 points on the second one and allowing the 49ers to get even more momentum was a big risk.

Tough one for Lamar but the worst was that Flowers fumble at the goal line.
Yeah gutting. But damn... The chiefs walked in there and put up like 17 unanswered points against the toughest defence in the NFL... In their house... Rough day to be a raven.
I want to be hopeful but I am not confident about the SB. Not the way the 49ers have been playing. If they had been playing the way they did when they smacked the Jags, Seahawks, Eagles and Seahawks again in a four week span, dominating on both sides of the ball then I would feel good but they haven't looked right since that Ravens game. Guys are tired and banged up, they keep missing tackles and making bone headed mistakes. Bosa picked up a couple sacks but he hasn't been dominating in the run game like he usually is. Hargrave looks tired, Armstead still looks hurt. Brown and Ryan both look lost (they really miss Hufunga). Gipson is getting old. Thomas had the best year of his career and has been awful in the playoffs. Greenlaw is banged up. Warner is trying to do everything.
On the offensive side the OLine is barely hanging on by a thread. Purdy should have gotten sacked at least 2 or 3 more times yesterday. Purdy has been good late in games but inconsistent early.
Maybe you can beat the Packers and Lions this way but you aren't going to beat Mahomes, Kelce, Andy Reid, Chris Jones, this way. As much as I hate the Chiefs and think the refs help them a lot (how many personal foul calls on the Ravens yesteraday- 4?) I think you have to bring your A game to have a shot against them in the playoffs. And right now the 49ers are playing with roughly a C+ game.

Thanks. Can't say I am too confident heading into the SB with the way the 49ers started games and got bullied in the trenches the past couple weeks but any given Sunday. Maybe they can pull another rabbit out of a hat or maybe they have one more dominant 49ers performance left in them this season. We will see.
If Lions win you might have a clean sweep. I have to check the standings again but I think that might secure the bracket challenge for you.
i'm not surprised, everyone seems convinced the 49ers are going to win. i have no problem with the lions being the underdogs, keeps us hungry. and if i can stack some sats while my teams win championships, well that's just icing on the cake
If the 49ers play like they played last week they aren't going to win. If they play well they will win. Lions OLine is good and 49ers OLine, besides Trent Williams is not very good. Might come down to who can run the ball and give their QB time.
