Happy to be of service 🫡
Crime in the west is exploding and stores particularly in population dense areas are closing down. This is an emergency, but the only thing the government will do is nationalize the grocery store and the food production which will make it super ineffecient. Essentially it will divert the food from the rural areas to the cities where the political power is concentrated. it is what it is.

did any stackers ever try Churchkhela? it's a traditional snack in Georgia, its main ingredients are walnuts or hazelnuts and grapes - like the photo below.
The first time I tried it was in Tbilisi, wow, so delicious! Then I found the similar thing in Turkey but it's called cevizli sucuk here, typing this as I'm eating them, and with a cup of Turkish coffee, simple life it is!

Are we all going to have a grand reveal day and show who were cowboys all along? Nemo and I did it for a fun experiment but everyone else seems to have done the same since

Nemo and I did it for a fun experiment
Was there a hypothesis and a result?
Are we all going to have a grand reveal day and show who were cowboys all along?
Would be fun but not sure how to coordinate. Maybe all shadowy super cowboys need to meet in an old saloon hidden from the eyes of every one else? But then, how to communicate that in secret? Do we need to exchange PGP keys now? lol
but everyone else seems to have done the same since
Yeah, not sure how it started but when I saw that even @siggy47 took his hat off, I felt like I need to fall (next) in line. Like a true domino :)
new ones trying to keep their hats, old ones trying to hide it, quite funny. 😂
Early morning coffee, hope for a relaxing Sunday.

You mean the one where I wanted to be done with calisthenics before the saloon opens but which quickly devolved to "let's go outside before the saloon opens"? And then I lost my streak when I went to Berlin and got sick afterwards?
Funnily, I am sick again but when I'm no longer sick, I want to do Taekwondo. I did some martial arts in the past but I never sticked to them. But this time is going to be different!

focus focus focus @ekzyis, one thing at a time.

one thing at a time.
You mean things like being sick?
When I'm sick, it's always "fun" the first few days since I feel like I have an excuse to just lay in bed all day
But then I'm like:
Ok this was fun but I don't want to be sick anymore. Can this please stop now, I got it, I will take more care of my health now
reply
yes, even getting sick; I was thinking why so many people getting sick these days - need to avoid what they are doing wrong.
If @DarthCoin can still build and learn things at 50s, what's stopping others?

need to avoid what they are doing wrong.
I noticed first symptoms after I didn't sleep and went outside for a walk early in the morning
I think life gave me what we call in German a "Wink mit dem Zaunpfahl".
The funny part is also that @WeAreAllSatoshi mentioned here that something is going around and I wondered how much or how fast a disease can spread.
Then I got sick within a few days.
When I'm no longer sick, I'm going to start my timer of not being sick. Wanted to have such a timer for a long time!
reply
Then I got sick within a few days.
maybe your brain engineered it because you keep thinking about it?
start my timer of not being sick
haha, and these are some of the things that I do, simple but it seems helpful - as in I don't get sick often, maybe once or twice in a year, but then I would just sleep and drink hot tea with honey for it.
  • less stress
  • sleep well
  • stay peaceful
  • more sun
  • honey replaces sugar
  • drink more water
  • eat fresh food
  • avoid alcohol
  • whenever don't feel well, just sleep!
not a doctor, only sharing as a reference; but from what I've learned, all sickness starts from the mind 👀
Well, I wasn’t going to bring up the details.
And Berlin does that…. I once lost 3-days in Kreuzberg and had one hell of a hangover at the end of it. I blame the kebabs.
Why don’t you see if there is a beginners / tasters course for a few weeks at a local dojo? Then the challenge is just to complete the course (initially obviously).

lol, yeah, the kebabs are out to get you there

There is but I'm not sure if it's a course. They have dedicated times for beginners though. I guess it's just about showing up consistently initially. I think if I show up at least twice per week, it's good. I still want to have time for other sports like swimming or bouldering :)
And I want to try to keep this up at least for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks, I should be hooked and don't want to stop anymore anyway. But I think the best approach is just to say "I will go at least one more time" :)
Btw, I really like this approach of giving me options but every option is actually basically the same thing lol

Options can be counterproductive to the human mind though…
I think make you target for time - 2x per week for 6-weeks say.
But as with anything we should look to the old school values encapsulated by BTC. Slow and consistent ahead of fast and flashy fiat BS.

I blame the kebabs.

Taking the base58 course today. Might be in over my head but hey learning is fun!
Today, I carried my baby girl with my right hand and glued the letters of appreciation n gratitude onto a scrapbook with my left hand. I feel good because every letter has a home; I can still do something meaningful even though I am parenting; I messaged my ex-students n colleagues to say thanks for their letters; I contributed to her growth by narrating what I was doing. Win win win win

Another perk of living in Turkey is the weekly bazaar 🍅 🥕🫒 where you can buy all the fresh and natural ingredients from people in the villages! this is the way - selling the surplus to others, instead of profit maxi selling the things or food that you don't even use or eat yourself.
And do you know that natural veggies are quite small? It seems a. it's easier to sell this way, b. natural ingredients get rotted really fast, so you sell them when they are almost "ready," which made me think about what I have been eating from the supermarkets or food chains...they are sitting on the shelf and are so "green" for days...

I think some Japanese farmers will have the opposite idea. They can grow just one watermelon on their land so that it absorbs all the nutrients and turns out to be really gigantic. Then it is sold as a premium watermelon at luxury stores haha
reply
reply
I don't really mind the size haha, as long as it's natural, being cared with love ( from good people ) and fair price, then I'm happy to buy that:)
also buying from bazaar you can always have a taste before buying anything.
