If fedimints can change the name of their territory to ecash, surely crypto to cryptography is a lot more straight forward?

I read the thread.
I personally really like the term "cryptography" and never use "crypto" as a shortcut for it. It has its roots in the Greek language. It is derived from two Greek words: "kryptos," meaning "secret" or "hidden" and "graphia," meaning "writing" When combined, they form "kryptographia" or "κρυπτογραφία" in Greek, or "secret writing."
"Crypto" said on it's own feels a touch lazy to me even without the negative connotations. It's not a term I use except, at times, to describe and separate the pump and dump NFT shitcoin industry in one word. The world only needs one blockchain. Let's hope 2024 is the year that the entire shitcoin industry massively deflates due to Gresham's Law as shitcoin positions are dumped in exchange for hard non-debasable money.
