Footnotes

  1. I used a database query now to sum sats over all items of @oracle (same amount you would see looking at each item on SN individually) + #342259. Previously, I just looked at the stacked amount in @oracle which excludes the 10% zapping fees that go into the daily reward pool. This means that zapping fees no longer affect the prize pool. Not sure why the difference is still smaller than what the previous post stacked though (4124 sats) 🤔 The easiest explanation would be that I made an error last time. ↩
For next such bets we must refer block index instead of date/time.

One step closer to a bitcoin standard
I've started using that for my posts, rather than date/time.
reply
Block index is the 'disciplined' way. Date/time is a pain with time zones and DST.
reply
Ah, but it requires breaking the discipline of date/time. As such, it is undisciplined.

Block index has its own pains, no? Can we really replace dates far in the future using the timechain? Doesn't that introduce too much variables?
We can't even tell when the halving will be to plan parties.

Its hard to plan real life events. Block index however is great for contracts such as this one.

Good idea.

Most of these bets are way too bearish...

Yeah, that's how it currently looks
2024-04-20 halving + $100k would be nice
