It makes sense that the rising stars games were more competitive. These guys are still trying to prove themselves and they were playing against a G league team. Maybe the team that wins the Rising Stars should be the 4th team in the All Star tournament. These guys are not going to want to lose to a bunch of rookies. 

You know, that might work really well. The first half of the All-Star game wasn't nearly as bad as the second (full disclosure: I stopped watching in the 3rd). Three shorter games with a draft gimmick, might just keep the players interested.

I would be down for a 3 on 3 tournament. 

What if they did something similar to the Rising Stars game and split the all stars on 4 teams and have 2 semi final games and then an all star final. East gets 2 teams and West gets 2 teams.

Maybe after the semis let the captains of the winning teams draft 1 player from each of the losing teams.
