A good compliment can transform your day. Compliments are so easy to give and yet so powerful!
If it’s so simple, why don’t we do it more frequently? Studies show that often, you hold yourself back because you’re worried about how it will feel to deliver the compliment (“Will it be awkward? Will I do a good job delivering it?”) To overcome this, you need to focus on how it will feel to the person receiving it. Remind yourself: your compliment could make them glow.

Not sure I agree.
Some of my work colleges do this constantly and I think when it's done too often it loses its effect.
Maybe that's a bit negative but it's how I personally perceive complements. I guess like anything there is some skill involved. As in more subtle and honest use of complements.

I love to recognize when people are doing good things. It's energizing and it balances out the shit posting I do against people who want my respect without earning it.
