I'm on some annoying mailing lists from projects I've never heard of. The email sender is legit but I can't find the notification on Github. This has to be a bug, right?

I withdrew 10k satoshis (sats) from a platform, but they haven't arrived in my Alby wallet yet. Is anyone else experiencing problems with Alby? @sn @ek

It won’t be a problem with your PC, the withdrawal happens between SN’s node and Alby’s node. In any case, let me try to withdraw some sats and see if it works

After in the past muting a user who routinely shares doom articles on the (EU) economy, I myself today posted such a post. I remember now how much such posts are appreciated by satfarmers, both from an OP's and an early upvoter's perspective. I feel dirty :)
As a side note, got zapped 200+ sats in less than 30 seconds after creating that post. Could be a one-off, could also be some bot recognizing trigger words such as "EU" or "Central Bank".

How could we know that a new territory has been created ?

quick update on my charts experiment…
in just 4 days, ~charts is already the leading territory on SN by revenue this week. it’s on pace for roughly 10,000 sats of revenue this week, which is about 43,000 sats of revenue extrapolated over a month.
it still needs a 2-3x jump in daily revenue to get to the point of profitability, but i’m optimistic. raising the post costs to 210 sats doesn’t seem to be limiting contributions (it incentivizes quality), and provides valuable revenue for the territory.
of course, since i’m returning all sats from the territory back to stackers, i’m guaranteed to lose money for now but it will be interesting to see how quickly revenue can grow with my current strategy.

Thank you! The BitAxe Ultra is definitely more noob friendly, especially if you get the prebuilt model. It’s plug and play, very simple. And it’s also a much lower cost so it’s easier to justify as an experiment. I got mine at d-central

aren't nature provide all the essential things that we need? If I can't get something from nature or with minimal touch from humans, maybe better stay away from them.
Enjoy nature while we can. Everything comes from nature one way or the other. The problem is not nature. The problem is there are too many humans. Technology is allowing to stretch the number, for now. Do we really want to have to replace bees with tiny bee robots? It's sad. I love bees. In recent years I have seen many dying in front of me and it breaks my heart.
I think the main problem is fiat money, why tell or teach you how you can get things from nature? the economy will suffer if everyone is being self-sufficient and lives their own life; if no one to work at the office, how to tax them? 🤔
I have a different feeling toward technology these days, for example the Internet is meant to solve the information problem, yet it's leading to more noise, confusion, and more control.
Or high tech leads to losing touch with nature, with all the cold machines it's getting harder to learn how things used to be made by bare hands, etc.
The art is to learn how to use it instead of being used.

but yes, having your own farm would be amazing but that's also lots of work, need to find the balance.

my mum once let me have some baby chicks in the balcony when I was a kid , it was supposed to be for fun, and then they grew up to lay eggs ( and you don't need to do much with them, just need to clean the place and feed them ) and I remembered those eggs were so delicious! and I was always waiting and went to grab the eggs after it's "out". 🤓
