Thanks to everyone who responded with interest and suggestions for the March Madness pool. I think we will have a decent amount of participants.

After reviewing everyone's suggestions I think the best course of action is to play a straight up survivor pool with no restrictions, no extra picks required, but set the tiebreaker(s) in such a way that rewards those that took a tougher path. I will think about the best way to do that.

Selection Sunday will be March 17 with the first four being played March 19-20 and the first round beginning March 21. I will post the contest and rules the week prior to Selection Sunday. First picks will be open after selection Sunday. I am pretty sure no one will be selecting a team from the first four in the first round but if you really want to feel free to wait until games are complete on March 20th to get your first round selection in.

Guaranteed payout to the winner will be at least 10k sats but total payout won't be determined until we see how many sats all the contest posts get zapped.

I checked in with @artistformerlyknownasNFLsurvivor and I got the standard pre-season mantra "I am in the best shape of my life. Ready to go."

Spring Training games start today and the NBA is back from all star hiatus. I have been following NHL more closely lately since their all star game but the Leafs are playing well again, so I might need to go back to tuning it out for the greater good.
