It's not HodlHodl that is barring US residents from using it.
It's US government forbiding its loyal citizens from using HodlHodl.

then I see the Terms of Service that is currently linked from the website, and it no longer says U.S. is banned!!

Ok. They may have updated this. I was kicked off in July 2022 because they said I was in the U.S.

U.S. residents are in fact blocked from using HodlHodl. I just contacted them. Below is their response.

Unfortunately, Hodl Hodl trading platform is not available for US citizens or tax residents, you can read it in our ToS https://accounts.hodlhodl.com/pages/terms_of_service. Only Lend Hodl Hodl (lend.hodlhodl.com) is available in US. Please feel free to contact us again if there is anything more we can help with. Best regards, Hodl Hodl team.
If you attempt to use the platform and they find out (ie. someone reports you) they will simply shut down your account. I was shocked, but this is what happened to me.
