I know everyone have to pay to post with stats.
However 1 stat is not too much money, the spammer can still cover if he has bad intention.
I wonder if there are other features preventing the spammer? Like exponential increased post cost?
That is an interesting idea to require exponentially more sats if a user wants to post very frequently.
Right now it costs 10 sats for users to reply to posts for a second time, and 100 sats to reply for a third time (not counting nested replies).
It could be a good idea to make it cost 10 sats for 2 posts within a 10 minute time span, and 100 sats for 3 posts in a 10 minute time span, or some variation of this idea.

yeah it should ideally count nested replies, or perhaps cost more if you reply to yourself. Still occasionally getting tricked into threads with one poster nesting 5 comments

yup, i agree

I would lock the sat per post on a larger time frame like hours or even daily. First post of they day is cheap, then it get increasingly expensive to post on the same day. In general this approach won't prevent spam but it makes it expensive and should lower the incentive

I think you can build in a reputation system if you see verbatim comments or similar behaviour that is agreed as spammy they could ramp up costs, like you see if you comment on a post and immediately try to thread on your own comment, the price to post increases

usually there wont be a spam problem until the site grows a bit more

yeah. we'd better think about that before spammers come in
