I came here to say that I thought NiceHash already supported LN payments, since I reviewed them when choosing a mining pool to join. Reading the article, turns out I was right, they do, but it was previously only on a manual basis. Now it can be configured as automatic. Good to know!

Someone should make a nicehash equivalent for shitcoin staking. Stake your shitcoin and receive bitcoin yield in return.
*not supporting the use of proof of stake but could help some people realize the only “yield” that matters is stacking more sats

In my previous job my manager was using GPU's to mine through nicehash. This was the first I'd heard of them and couldn't understand how mining bitcoin on GPU's was still profitable. My guess is that they're mining other coins and just paying out in bitcoin.
Anyway, great to know! Pleb mining at home with one or two rigs is starting to look pretty attractive to me with fee's going up and small LN payouts coming in.

That's generally how NiceHash works yes - You use different algorithms to mine shitcoins, either with CPU or GPU depending on what power-usage/yield ratio you're expecting and can receive reward for hashrate in BTC.
However, it has some KYC requirements for certain amounts/functionality.
I wonder how ocean.xyz is doing nowadays.

I check in on them once a day. Haven't found a block for about a week.

I am glad every one is following the leader (#433943)
Now NiceHash just needs to get rid of their KYC next.

NiceHash already supported lightning, so perhaps they are the leader in this regard? Turns out this update is for automatic LN payments, as opposed to manual. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Once they get rid of the KYC/AML, they will be just fine. But until then, Rigly is doing great

What pool do you use Rigly with doesn't require KYC
