I tell them:
#1 earn it or mine it.
#2 IF they can explain the whitepaper back to me in 6 months time, then they can start to DCA $10 a week.
Sorry to clarify this post.. I mean more so in a bullrun (like now at an ATH in Australia)

Honestly, I believe the whole just get off zero. Just get them to buy some. Once they have skin in the game they have an incentive to learn about what they own.
reply
100% agreed. Get off zero is the best method.

Not in my experience.. they tend to want to blame you for the price changing if they haven't done the pow
reply
We'll, the assumption is they are just getting off zero, not buying enough to get all upset about it.
reply
Hehe yeah that's why I prefer to give people some as well..
Everybody wants to buy big right away.
reply
Yes. That's better. That's what I did with my nephews. Christmas presents.
reply
Haha did you multisig it with them?
I'm kicking myself I didn't do that with fam years ago (they sold the bottom)
reply
Oh no. It was a struggle just getting their bitcoin off coinbase. Baby steps. I'm not worrued about them selling. They're enjoying their NGU phase and calculating their percentage increase each year.
I’ve yet to convince one person to buy (real BTC) after years of trying. This year, I’ve been telling people to not buy. Maybe reverse psychology will work better.
reply
Haha true
reply
I tell them to buy some and then they aren’t allowed to look at the price for a year.
reply
Haha cool.. should make it 4 years :p
reply
I say yes, start buying a little ammount, if youre confortable then DCA, the rest will follow naturally.
