In 2009 BBC won the rights back and "The Chain" was reinstalled and when coverage moved over to Channel 4 in 2016, they kept "The Chain" as well. Smart move This music is Formula One. It is so ingrained in to the psyche of a nation, to change it you're on to a loser

Them were the days, they were one of the best double acts on TV. You knew as soon as Murray said "he's only got three more corners to go to win the race" you knew they'd run out of petrol or breakdown

His father was a motorsport journalist and they were apparently very close. Murray was a tank commander after landing at Normandy and was making his way through France. Stopping at a refueling point he found his Dad there who had taken a job as a war correspondent to see how his son was getting on!
