My daughter works in a facility that breeds and trains seeing eye dogs and veterans service dogs. The program is rigorous, so there is a high failure rate. The dropouts need to be permanently placed somewhere. I can tell she has her eye on a few. I suspect there will soon be even more animals under our roof.

Imagine @siggy47 having this chimp in his house... fun show

As a kid I wanted a monkey. Then I heard all the horror stories. My parents broke out the old "they throw their feces at you" tales, as if that would discourage me. That's a feature, not a bug.

You could have got Nazi-sponsored sea monkeys… (weird tale that one)

Before I do a search about the nazi part, I almost ordered sea monkeys from the back of Boy's Life magazine, but I always thought there was something fishy (pun intended) about the ad. They had these weird, smiling cartoon monkeys smiling at you. Even then I was suspicious.

Oh enjoy the read! It was a creepy ad…
(Boys Life lol. Nuns Life also available on certain flights..)

Yes! I'm starting to think you watched it more often than I did :)
Look at the state of the place…

The racoons get all the food they need from our garbage cans, if they can sneak into the garage. They know the back door doesn't close securely. When I hear them rustling around I go out to chase them away, but they're one step ahead of me.

No way! Did you hear about this? We might have to keep even more dogs at home!
