Fair enough 

My problem is with the pejorative use of “talking point” to dismiss a valid argument 

My lefty friends call me Mr talking points if I say anything they disagree with 

Sometimes I say something not realizing it’s a talking point. I don’t carry  notecards 



That's certainly true, but talking points are boring because we've all heard them 1000 times already.
