Maddest bio I have read in a while… but welcome. I try and avoid Berlin - Kreuzberg kebabs are my kryptonite.
Thank you.
Avoiding Berlin? If you sail half an hour on the Havel, you won´t even know where you are, I promise.
I live in Berlin, but avoid the city as well.
My outskirt is like a village, but still in Berlin.
Berlin is green and has lots of water in it.

It’s been a long time since I have been to Berlin but I can hear those kebabs calling to me… it’s become a beautiful city in the last 30 years.

I would say it was a beautiful city 120 years ago. Now you can never know in a mall, in what country you are, and in Berlin they opened 4 per year.
Do you remember the price of a, we say "Döner", kebap?

my first Döner cost DM 2,50 in 1991, and it was big, with lots of veal, tomatos, salad, cacik and chilipowder, today you pay 8-10€ for a big Döner. #bitcoinfixesthis

The post wwi era and the bombardments in wwii mutiliated Berlin. Look at old photos - it's not the same city.
But the DDR-era was the worst for all. Socialism survives 80 years, after that the buildings will collapse.
The DM was the second (third) best currency for Germany (after the Gold Standard Reichsmark till wwi). The € is the worst for all Euro countries...
