Elon Musk releases the model of Grok-1 AI
The blog's actual title says "Open Release of Grok-1".
Not to put too fine a point on it, but there's not much "open" about this release - at least not yet. From a link in the article:
At the moment, only users who are based in the USA and are subscribed to X Premium+ are eligible for access.

There we go. Elon throwing money away, coupled with the ingenuity of open source community, and I hope we can unseat the rotten and corrupt OpenAI (research the WorldCoin project, if you don't know what I'm talking about).

This is great. More companies should start open-sourcing their models (looking at you OpenAI).
I think we will start to see computers having extra neural chips in addition to the standard GPU, to make running these kind of models even easier, even though this one still needs some fine-tuning.
