If word gets out that companies building on lightning are raising millions of dollars then it could really spread like wildfire as it could attract more devs

Pretty cool that Square Enix is one of the investors. They haven't made a game that I cared about in years, but I loved 90s Squaresoft, and Octopath Traveler does have a bangin' soundtrack.
Yeah, that's all I got to contribute to this post. Lol.

@lipinip235 notes that Square Enix is an investor and they are best known for Final Fantasy ... which might suggest we'll get Bitcoin in some AAA games.

This is great. Zebedee is a great platform. The games, mostly suck, to be honest, but I'm hoping that this will bring out more partnerships and better games.

I have been using zebedee for 1 year and it is the first time that he really paid me to be able to withdraw my money, in fact I have paid for a soda with the satoshis of one of his games that is sarutobi! I love him I'm so interested in develop a 2D game and connect it to the lightning network, anyone knows?

For Zebedee users, it is not about Bitcoin, nor should it be, the company said. It is about a more rewarding experience in games, packaged into intuitive and simple user experience that does not require any knowledge of crypto.

Which is an odd statement, given that the currency unit used in the games (at least the ZBD ones I've used), is bitcoin (sats). And to withdraw earnings, or to top up, you are transacting in bitcoin on the bitcoin Lightning network.

If they're looking for more short-term mainstream adoption then this makes sense - providing more seamless & fun-filled adoption. Can't expect every gaming customer to understand the full ramifications of Bitcoin and prioritise their gaming experiences based on this. At least not for 5-10 years yet.

Very proud of Zebedee and the Bitcoin gaming industry for getting this far. Phew! However, with more Infuse games coming out, I do hope they find out a way to curb hacking. Non-intrusive plugins could be good.
