haha, for me there's no contest, my allegiances would be with Thunder.
You remember the first time you hear your favourite band.
My mates dad bought "Dirty Love" CD single from HMV. His dad wasn't even a rocker, he just bought it because it was on sale and must have thought his son would like it. We played that CD to death, and the rest is history.

Yaknow these are classed as "dad rock" now 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ im sure stadium arcadium was released like only last year. (Why am I old now).
I've never seen SoA but this is a great track. I love the sound.
It's been on my to-do list for years and I just never got around to doing so. I don't really get much time to sit and watch TV, I'm always out and about doing stuff.
It's much better to be out and about doing things than sitting on the couch. Here, the winter is harsh, so I take advantage of it to watch good TV shows. SoA is one that is worth watching for anyone who likes a good drama story, with gangs, guns, and drugs mixed in.
It can be quite exhausting. The wife doesn't let us sit still, every weekend were off somewhere to go and swim in a waterfall or walk coastal paths, or drive to some mountains to climb.
Sometimes a couch day sounds good 🤣🤣 but I agree, id much rather be out doing stuff than sitting watching TV. But I think there's a balance where you can get it just right.
i'm a fan of the accordion usage, sounds really cool. its got that "prog" sound with some of the wood flute sounds as well. the whole thing tells a story, it's very cleverly written, each individual track tells its own individual story that can and does stand on its own very well, but collated as an album creates a bigger broader story. like a series of short stories with an overall plot running through them all. really cleverly put together.
i'm not done yet, i'm only at valley of kings as i keep having to dart off and do some stuff. so far i feel like ive taken a tour through a magical land, with dragons and fairies. like reading a book but with prog 😂
Incantation parts 1 and 2 were really nice, slowed the whole thing back down again along with winter brooks after the up tempo valley of the kings and flowing brooks.
after finally finishing it, alight again had a really cool feel to it and i think it was the perfect track to round out that whole album, it really felt like drawing the whole thing to a close.
DotNet that was a great journey you took me on. thanks a lot. i enjoyed it. 👊
Awesome. Great band - there's almost too much of it, so many albums. But yes they are a sort of magical band. Quite their own thing. Glad you enjoyed that!
Well... It's a good thing I'm on the late shift this week and have that kinda time available to listen to it in the background whilst i burn through some paperwork.
