Europe is in a war with Russia (even if most do not yet realise it) and in war anything goes.
reply
We didn’t do this to Germany in the first and second world wars.
Europe chose to declare war on Russia. They are under no obligation to defend Ukraine.
The anti Russian hawks have lost their minds
reply
We probably should have. Yes. Europe wants to defend itself from future aggression. Russia has a well documented history of invading their neighbouring countries.
You are ok with Russia invading a sovereign country, but someone punishing them by taking their money is not? Jesus christ.
reply
Calm down
My position is the West should be neutral in this conflict.
Extending NATO membership to Ukraine is a geopolitical blunder especially since 26 members are delinquent on their membership dues.
reply
Why? We are very much affected by it. Russia is next door. Especially worrying since Putin keeps saying they should bring back the Soviet Union (ish). You do know many EU and Nato states were part of the Soviet Union at some point, right?
reply
I’ve lost count but all after 1996.
It was a mistake to extend membership to the Warsaw Pact and Baltic states
We should remain neutral between Russia and Ukraine. No strategic interest for West except provoking Russia

They are riding a dead horse to Hades
reply
Can NATO members use Russian assets to pay their annual dues?
2 percent of annual GDP
Only 6 out of 32 members are not delinquent
reply
It wouldn't be enough
