It's turning into quite a predictable playbook. First, China with shutting down the bank protest with QR codes, and eventually, tanks. And now, Sri Lanka has fallen down the authoritarian spiral. This Orwellian madness is only possible when the State exercises unjust control over the lives of its citizens.
