This is also happening in some of the states here in India. Opposing parties to the central government here relying more on distributing free candies to the people rather just having any sort of agenda. In some states they have come to power and as promised they are giving free electricity, free water, free medical services, free education and even free liquor. Considering that nothing is free, by putting the label of 'free', they are enslaving the people. Sad but true.
