It's Saturday, thus it is Poll day!
The NFL draft is fast approaching and a number of teams are in need of potential starting Quarterbacks. How many QBs do you think will be taken in the first round?
Comment below if you want to predict how many will go in the top 10.

There's a part of me that thinks some of this could be serious smoke and mirrors. Remember when everyone thought Malik Willis was going 1.01? And the titans got him in like the 3rd round or something?
Or the Will Levis smoke screen last year?
But I do think we go.
1/2/3, Williams, maye, Daniels some combination of that.
Giants at 5) McCarthy.
Vikings at 11) Penix.
Broncos at 12) Nix
I dont think Penix and Nix are 1st round QBs but with the amount of QB needy teams and the general QB tax, I think that's their cost. Denver specifically, if they can't trade up to leapfrog the vikings, they'll have to take nix in the 1st if they want a QB as they don't currently have a 2nd round pick.
@Undisciplined I think the raiders might get rattler in the 2nd at pick 44.
reply
I think the Raiders would rather take a guard or a corner in the second round and roll with our two average-ish starting QB's this season.
reply
Interesting 🤔 as it stands next year's QB draft is kinda weak, outside of maybe shadeur sanders? And one or two others, but there's plenty of time for people to emerge.
I think rattler fits the raiders. Yaknow, had character issues, gotta be a raider 😜. If you get rattler at 44 I'd have assumed you'd gone Oline at 13 or perhaps traded back and acquired another 2nd where you could take a Guard and a QB in the 2nd and perhaps WR at whatever you traded back to in the first? That could be spicy.
reply
I think they'd consider Rattler if he fell to the 3rd.
reply
3rds quite a slide, but I don't think he gets to you at 77, I think the broncos at 76 would stop that. If they hadn't traded up into the 2nd to go after a QB.
This draft is going to be interesting.
reply
I am really pumped about this draft. I usually don’t pay much attention other than the top guys but so many interesting players and the way QBs and other premium positions are getting paid these days having young and controllable depth is so important.
reply
This draft feels different, it's so deep at lot of positions. DL, OL, QB. A lot of talent that could have been 1st rounders in a different draft class will fall into the 2nd and 3rd rounds. There's going to be so much value everywhere.
reply
I'm expecting 4 QB's to go top 10 and then probably another to go towards the end of the round.
reply
Care to predict which ones and to whom?
reply
  1. 1st Caleb Williams to the Bears
  2. 2nd Jayden Daniels to the C-Words
  3. 3rd Drake Maye to the Pats
  4. 5th JJ McCarthy to the Vikings
  5. 31st Penix to the Raiders (wishful thinking)
reply
Ooooo you think we come up to 5 to take McCarthy?? I'm unsure the giants would pass on one at 5.
31st penix to the raiders... Nope can't do it I actually want him on the vikes over McCarthy. I think his ceiling is the highest of all the QBs in the draft, if his medicals check out.
reply
What's the word on who the Vikings are after? Everyone thinks they're planning on trading up and they probably don't need to if they want Penix.
reply
Our front office has been seen doing work on everyone at every position, so I think they're ready to do whatever, trade into the top 3 with New England and take Maye, as word has it Washington are higher on Daniel's than Maye. But if the cost is too high, then I think they stick and pick at 11 and take penix.
QB needy teams that could frog the vikings, Denver at 12 and LV at 13. The jets at 10 however could really throw a wildcard if they take a QB move on from Wilson and let him sit behind Rodgers... Maybe the Falcons at 8 could take a QB. But I think it'll be first 3 off the board, giants at 5, us at 11. Unless obviously someone trades up past us. I'd kinda prefer to take penix at 11 and then Newton or Murphy or JPJ at 23
reply
I'm hoping the Jets are going all-in on winning now with Rodgers. That probably means taking the best tackle available.
Word is that if the Raiders move up it would be to 2nd to take Jayden, not to take Penix.
reply
I'd be surprised if they could, I think Washington are locked in not moving at 2. I think NE are the only lot that might move and even then I think they stick and pick. After that you're looking at the cards who might move back and take Rome Adonze (probably butchered that spelling) instead of MHJ at 4. But I doubt the giants move outta 5. I'm excited for the draft as I think we're going to see loads of movement and lots of crazy stuff.
You see Penix going before Nix? Interesting.
Did I ever tell you I like JJ? He is a winner.
reply
You mentioned it. If it's the Raiders, the scuttlebutt is that their QB board is Jayden 1, Penix 2.
reply
I think if penix didn't have an injury history, we'd be talking about him in the same room as Caleb Williams/Jayden Daniels/Drake Maye.
reply
I was baiting you with the “winner” comment.

Too soon

By this time, I might as well call myself the king of going off topic in your posts...
But how about our boys beating the freakless Bucks yesterday? Not bad considering our current roster.
Also, on the women's side of March Madness, Iowa had a nice comeback vs UConn yesterday. I saw the highlights and thought women's basketball still has a long ways to go in terms of entertainment value vs the men's side, but the Caitlin Clark story is still fun to follow. Second year in a row to the finals, let's see if she and her team can get the job done this year.

That's ok, I always enjoy a tangent.
Impressive win for the Raps and at a good time because their draft lottery seeding has pretty much been set. Memphis has been playing better so the Raps are unlikely to catch them and the Blazers have been bad enough that they are unlikely to fall back to 5th worst so it will be up to the lottery balls.
The Caitlin Clark story is definitely compelling. I watched a few minutes of that game last night. I just wonder if it will have carry over for women's basketball broadly or if it is one of those unique moments that everyone pays attention to for awhile and doesn't have much follow through.

I think if the girls continues to play at a high level and/or they continue to churn out exciting star players that are fun to watch, women's basketball will continue to get more audience. But that's a big if.
