I was in the path where it got dark. I was a doubter, but it really did get dark. Pretty darn impressive. 

Most impressive, though, was watching my kids. They were truly wide-eyed. That kind of genuine expression where you are grinning because it's cool but your also a little startled.

I didn't realize that's how they were sold. That's probably why we got them. I was also surprised and excited by that narrow sliver.

I love how the economics of the glasses encouraged this. It never made sense to ship one, so everyone pretty much had to buy a ten-pack (or bigger). Even after my wife, my daughter, her roommate, and myself, that was six I gave out to co-workers. 

And yeah, I wasn't really hooked (also in a partial zone) until I saw that first chunk being covered up, and as it got down to a sliver, I was more and more impressed.
