Now here we are with absolute madness set to unleash tomorrow.

It’s not all good! It’s this ignorant, immature attitude toward srs bizness that really galls me.
Do you have forced closed channels that you cannot economically save under this spam load? Do you have funds in limbo because a bunch of degenerates decided to take a shit in the public park?
I expect this kind of bullshit on other shitcoins.
This spam bullshit has made running LN infra an absolute nightmare in 2023.
This isn’t adding anything but spam and noise, and these spamming morons are just sapping value from the system.

Question from someone who's only used LN casually and haven't dove into the full rabbit hole first, just knowledgeable of the concepts:
Is there a difference in how different LN wallets and services handle high fees?
Say custodial vs something like phoenix (splicing, single channel non-custodial) vs zeus (everything DIY) ?

Everyone knew it was possible 10 years ago, but they abandoned it because they are not brain dead. Stop spamming you barbarians.

So. What exactly is the point of runes and tokens? Is there anything for someone not interested in the whole NFT/DeFi crap to be excited about this?
Is this just redoing what's been done on Ethereum but on Bitcoin? What is it trying to achieve?

That's a shame. I hope it doesn't bloat the txn fees too much for too long.

I respect runes for simplicity and merketint but "token economy" was always possible since 10 years ago.
Nowadays better to use Liquid. It has even a DeX for them.

That's why we can't have nice things: there'll always develop a pocket of idiots who think they've solved something amazing, while all they managed to do was the very thing people begged them not to.
One of the reasons that I simply despise humans; we can't let things be what they're supposed to be, everyone has to put their little ignorant "mark" onto something, destroying it in the end.
