Another fantastic video with clear, concise instructions.
Hey, how are eCash mints (eNuts) different from Fediments, if at all? I guess I'm asking can you join either from either app?

Is this an answer for my question? A very broad overview and an hour and 17 minute video? How is this overview different from a general eCash overview?. And does it explain if the mints are of different type?

You cannot join either from either app because they use different models for trusting the mints.
Both eNuts and fedimint use ecash for balances. This results in great privacy for users. eNuts trust a single custodian to hold bitcoin balance. fedimint trusts a group of custodians in a multisig to hold bitcoin balance.
Ignore the video on that page and read through the primer. Its a really good resource for understanding what fedimint is trying to achieve.

I'd previously read it months ago and still could not discern the difference although it did lead to the question - is the difference the federation. Thanks for clarifying the answer to be yes.

Why is this not listed in the F-Driod store? Is there Obtainum support?
reply
Yes for obtainium, if the app doesn't find it you can manually paste the github link

I only find Fediverse, fedora, fedifinder and fedimint. There's a bunch. I really wish the dev put his pen name and then a brief description so dumbos like me can find the app easily instead of playing Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.

Hmm... The receiving offline seems iffy to me.
What's to stop the sender from claiming the ecash token before the receiver can claim it?
If an ecash token is unspendable (because the mint is offline) then what good is it?
My understanding is that while ecash is a bearer asset, it's only so after it has been "blessed" by the mint. Otherwise you'd have a double-spending problem.
