Jai Bitcoin I got in the “know” about Bitcoins way back in January 2013, when it had just touched 1000 to the rupee. I could not pluck the courage to buy 10, I wanted to but I didn’t, couldn’t. Next month it became 3000 rupees, I finally decided enough is enough and put in 3k to get myself 1.123 BTC through trusted Vikas aka BitIndia on LocalBitCoins. I should have sold when it touched 13k a few months later, but I held on. I sold when I needed cash at 6k, still almost double my investment. 100% ROI. FTW! ☺ It doesn’t end there, like a ghada (pot) that never goes empty, the price/value of my Bitcoin kept increasing, I would spend a trifle sum here, and there, and I would come back next time to find my ghada had been refilled as if by magic. The magic was the continually increasing value of BTC vis a vis the fiat currencies of Dollar & Rupee. Especially the fall of the Rupee was making BTC stronger, as in it was increasing my purchasing power in BTC. I found some great people because of Bitcoins. I found Neven Lovric from BitMit who sent me a free postcard from Zagreb Croatia just to test the delivery channel. I found DBTC also on BitMIt who runs a class operation to sell Amazon GiftCards using Bitcoins, I purchased 4 times from him, purchased 2 eBooks – The Chronicle of Sapta Sindhu (read it) and Love Life Kumbh (read it, IF YOU CAN) both by Shri Aporva Kala, the more talented but hitherto not-as-successful cousin of Amish Tripathi (Vayuputra fame) and Ashwin Sanghi (Krishna Key/Rozabal Line fame). I also met SuperBro who posted a sell ad just like I did on BitMit. Like I was selling words and ideas, he was selling images and art. Me Copywriter, He Art Director. I bought his small item also just to make contact with him. He made a nice small free graphic for AgencyKillers.com as well. I found BitMit, and that other site where you can buy Steam Games using Bitcoins (weak branding yo). Bitcoins are truly revolutionary. Just google BTC or Bitcoin and find out all about it in whatever time you can spend. If you invest in other things like equities, mutual funds land, gold or any other asset, you should look at Bitcoins. If not for the sake of the revolution, then just for the sake of profit. Like I said, I got 100% ROI and then some (like my V for Vendetta mask also purchased off BitMit, sold by a Denmark based seller and shipped from China). If you don’t invest in anything, now is the right time, you can buy BTC in fractions, like I spent 3k, you can spend 1k, 10k or lakh, or crore, whatever you can, you can. It is a great learning experience about the nature of investing, about economy, about purchasing power, about liquidity, about so much. I will write more on this later, I don’t have time right now, but I was compelled to write this anyway. The current price of BTC in INR is 8470. Or $135.
Ps: This should replace $ as the global currency, I assure you there will be less chance of a catastrophic global economic collapse if we all demanded BTC as much as we demand the unbacked-by-gold Fed Reserve Corporations’s currency known worldwide as the US Dollar. Viva La Revolucion. Jai Bitcoin!
