Best thing we can do for the environment is innovate. We need sustainable energy to be cheap for enough people to use it to make a difference. Right now, green energy is sustainable, and the greatest financial “incentive” to invent something cheaper is government regulation to make regular energy more expensive.
Until bitcoin mining. Bitcoin mining turns energy into cash. Greater efficiency means more profit. Bitcoin could easily prevent climate disaster.
