Since I am rebuilding this bike, I wanted to share it with everyone here. It is called the Lotus Super Pro, and it was made in the 1980s. During that time, it cost $1200 dollars. In todays currency, it would be about $5000. That is a lot for a bike, and that is why many were not sold. But by a design standpoint, it was one of the pinnacle creations of the time. It had a bunch of aero parts, and the tubing was new. It was oval shaped, instead of the traditionally round shape. You can even notice in the last picture, the tubes were shaped very sharp. Also in the handlebar, the section is tilted more in the forward position, allowing the rider to minimize drag on their body. Lotus was a company made in the USA, but the had to outsource the builds to Japan because it was so technical and new. Hence why a bunch of Dura Ace AX parts were put on it. I also made a post recently about the Cinelli Laser. #528301 This bike actually predates the laser! Interesting piece of history and design!
