In my believe, all people should do two jobs atleast 4 to 5 years in young age because one is for survival and another for their future. That's the way to become financially free.

How can someone do 2 full time jobs? I am guessing its content creator which is more flexible in terms of working hours?
reply
But do they really have to, or do they want to, so they can stack more?
reply
Misconception, inflation, and tax truly eats into the fiber of things.
reply
hard to know but considering most don’t enjoy work the number is probably increasing out of necessity.

I see it as the barbell strategy by Taleb. You have a secure job then try a different one , risky though with upside potential if it goes well.
reply
I am doing two jobs right now. One is in my College as a professor and other is in my coching center as administrator
reply
2 full time jobs are miserable but people are doing them just to cope with inflation, fore their families.
reply
How do you even make the time work? Maybe if it was a stay at home job...
reply
Haha! I'm kinda jobless or retired young man in my early 40s. But, yes I used to do two full time jobs and they weren't home jobs.
See, I was a college teacher so 4 to 5 hours in one college and 4 to 5 in another. That's how I managed and as told it already that I had had no other stuff to do at that time because I was alone at a socially distant place for me without friends and family. Even on Sundays, I used to teach some tuitions and that's why, I retired and can boast a bit, if you permit. I even didn't get married though I was pressurized. I only married last year.
reply
oh wow, congrats. I guess you lived every mans dream. Why did you finally get married?lol
reply
I'm the eldest of the three siblings and in our culture we call marriage a 'sanskar' without which you're not complete. And, in my personal opinion, only a woman completes a man.
reply
Tell that to all the men who have divorced lol
reply
We have the least number of people with divorce. We are called Hindus! 😄
We value our sanskar, for us marriage is—read the link.
reply
Well, in the USA it is more than 50%.
This is definitely a new world where people value utilising their time as much as possible. 1 regular job ± 1 parttime job is now a necessity because of the low value in our currencies.
reply
You can see that it was already trending this way before the Covid lockdowns.
reply
This is just so disheartening.
reply
The good news is that it doesn't have to be this way, so there's always a chance things improve.
reply
Improve for one person or for all?
reply
Either...both
reply
I hope for all. What do you think they will do to make things better? Make our fiat stronger?
reply
I didn't mean to get your hopes up. I'm pretty sure they'll keep making things worse.
Probably the easiest thing that could be done to make things better would be auctioning off a bunch of Federal and letting people develop it into energy projects (oil, nuclear, etc.) or housing.
That would create tons of jobs and bring down everyone's cost of living.
reply
Ouch, that just sounds very bad. Energy projects never seem to be made under budget, and always are delayed. Just a total suck on funds.
Is it possible to do 2 full time jobs?

Fiat is so f*cking dead

Yeah, this is such a sad truth. I remember it almost like it was yesterday, I wanted to buy a game (years ago) at GameStop. I asked the employee, this was shortly before 2008 if they could extend me a discount on an item. He blankly said, “I'm sorry I cannot, or I'll get fired, and I have a mortgage to pay for.” He didn't look like the type to do nothing, he was slim, married, and handsome, and there was just something in his voice that was telling me indirectly, “I'm holding onto more than two jobs.”
