I have reading been reading the comments at the stacker saloon and noticed that some posts can be down zapped.

I wonder how this can be done and the reasons why this can happen.

I would be grateful if anyone could explain it so that we could avoid bad contents that can be susceptible for down zapping.

  • downzaps are just like zaps but cause items to lose ranking position
  • downzaps also reduce trust between you and whoever zaps it so you'll see less of what they zap in the future
  • all sats from downzaps go to rewards

There is currently no way to know for sure, but there has been some discussion about the possibility of the OP receiving a notification if it happens.
