On Schedule
The 2024/25 NFL season schedule has arrived.
A couple interesting notes:
  • There is a Black Friday game this year. Raiders vs Chiefs
  • There are 5 international games this year. 3 in the UK, 1 in Germany and 1 in Brazil
  • Cowboys, Jets and 49ers lead the way in Prime Time games with 6 each
Overall, I am pretty happy with the 49ers schedule this year. There are a couple tough stretches and the NFL did them no favours by having them play the Chiefs, Cowboys and Bills all after those team's bye weeks, but all in all its a fair schedule that should allow them to get off to a pretty good start before their bye week. I still think it is an 11-6 season for the 49ers this year and probably a 2 or 3 seed.
So stackers what do you think of your favourite teams schedule? and what do you think their record will be this season?
Sats for all, GR
They get to the playoffs with a 12-5 and lose first round -guess who?
reply
That must be dem boyz.

It really hurt last year I can’t lie about that.
reply
How are you feeling about this season? Eagles collapsed last year but I think they got better. Going to be a tough battle for the division title.
reply
I think we got the TE’s we needed among others, but it’s gonna be tough. Would like to see another first round against your 49ers.
All the way baby.
Realistically, I think we do very well.

I think the Cowboys have a good chance to beat the 49ers for once this year coming off their bye with the 49ers heading into their bye the following week.
I would not bet on them beating the 49ers in the playoffs though.
reply
Yea, you’re probably right.

I like opening and closing with division rivals. Raiders have a nice week 10 bye in the middle of their toughest stretch of games.
They have one of the harder schedules this year, but it's more good teams than great ones. I think we'll have an elite defense and win a lot of tough games. My prediction is 10-7 and squeak into the playoffs.

8-9 last year despite all the turmoil. Best defense in the league after AP took over.
Most of the important guys are back, plus we've added JPJ, Bowers, and Wilkens, who should all be high-level contributors immediately.
I also think the AFC West is going to be a lot softer than people seem to expect.
reply
Would be nice to see. Lots of good teams in AFC though.

The three almost sure losses are going to be at Ravens, at Bengals, and at Dolphins. Those are all early games, which the Raiders always seem to lose.
Do the 49ers have a hard time in those East Coast morning games?
reply
I am sure you would be happy if they split with they Chiefs.
49ers are hit or miss with east coast games. I have seen them dominate and seen them struggle so can't really say either way. Maybe depending on the week in the season, how much travel they have had recently and how banged up they are.

Another great aspect of the schedule is that we play Atlanta on MNF. Cousins is a good QB, but he's famously terrible in primetime.
Why would MNF have wanted that matchup?
reply
Maybe they are expecting Falcons to be good.
