Surely we all have a series that was either canceled or ended and never went back on air and left us with an inner void for a while, I have a few series that I would like to see re-aired, although maybe for some it is already too late, a series that I would have liked to watch again for a few more seasons is Friends, but today, even the Chandler actor (Matthew Perry) died and many years have passed till its end.

What is the series/show you would like to see re-aired?

The Expanse

reply

Breaking Bad was peak television for me. I’d happily watch something from that universe again.

reply

I assume you’ve seen Better Call Saul and El Camino?

reply

I feel like someone should redo Star Trek but where it's effectively a Twilight Zone-like short film every episode where they explore a new weird thing in a remote world using the same characters/cast.

They've brought back both of those shows recently but the execution was terrible.

reply

Something like half of Star Trek is actually Twilight Zone body horror in disguise. If it were realistic, the entire crew would have terrible PTSD.

reply

Most New Trek can only really be described as cultural vandalism, but I would say Strange New Worlds rises to the level of "not all bad".

reply

I enjoy Strange New Worlds most of the time, it was a breath of fresh air after trying to watch some of the other shows. Definitely not perfect, but it feels like they're at least trying to make a compelling product. I wish it was a new ship with a new crew though, I want to see new characters! Fortunately I have box sets of all the older shows, so I don't have a shortage of good Trek.

This was the very first thing that ran through my mind. It was so good, I wish I could watch it for the first time again.

reply

This was the answer I came to give. The movie Serenity was good, but oh what could have been with the series if it got more than it's 13 (I think) episodes.

reply

I remember seeing some episodes of that series in the past, it didn't last long, right?

reply

Less than one full season, but they did also make a movie several years later.

I'd love for it to be an animated series, so that the original cast could come back and play their characters again.

reply

I had no idea about the film, maybe they ran out of budget, it's a shame to see how so many good shows vanish from one day to the next.

reply

The film ‘Serenity’ kinda tied things up and they have done a graphic novel series since.

reply

The graphic novels took place between the end of the show and the movie, unless they did more that I forgot about.

reply

They are still running (I’m really not familiar with them though)

reply

I didn't know that. I'll have to look into it.

Thanks

It definitely got cancelled. Fox promoted the show very poorly. I didn't even know it existed until a few years after it was off the air, despite having been a pretty regular Fox viewer.

There's a huge fanbase now, which is what allowed the movie to be made.

reply

Sometimes great works are appreciated over time, maybe if the fan base continues to grow, you can see the show go back on air because money is king...

reply

They also aired episodes out of order.

reply

yes, that really killed it. Actually, Joss made something else right after. A youtube project.

Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog

Since @Undisciplined already went with my first choice, I'll throw in either Hannibal or The Middleman.

Great show

I was so happy when they produced the movie in 2019

reply

still havent seen it 😬

reply

Easy, Farscape

reply

F-Troop

reply

It would be impossible today because of native Americans and political correctness

reply

You're not kidding. I was just watching it.

reply

I remember watching it on Sunday as a kid. During syndication. I had no idea what was going on but the characters were funny

reply

My friends and I loved it.

reply

Nice 😊

reply

Never heard of it, what it is about?

Some call it a really stupid show. What do they know?

reply

Sounds funny, it's a western comedy, right? I'm going to look for information right now about it, thanks for sharing.

reply

The magicians, it's my go to show for mediocre but entertaining tv show. The story could seemingly go on forever so would be fun

reply

Some of the best musical episodes I've seen, too.

Community movie!

reply

It would be mightily interesting to see a remake of "The Twilight Zone" during this age we live in, since WE LIVE IN IT! 😆

reply

That would be good, I hope they do it

reply

Ju-On origins.

I am a horror genre fan and it nailed that creepy atmosphere with an intriguing plot.

It doesn’t actually need another series but I felt they could do it in a 3 parts 4 episodes series

reply

I love F.R.I.E.N.D.S, especially Phoebe Buffay!

I would have liked to watch a few more seasons of House

reply

I must confess i've come to hate House.

Patient's think they have a team of 5 doctors in the hospital with nothing better to do than sit around and ponder and re-ponder their case while checking in on you every hour. No, I won't be coming back to check on you later unless you're dying so give me your questions now lol I have 20 other patients to deal with..

reply

Friends is GOAT, Phoebe is also one of my favorites, after Chandler :)

reply

Whew…so many but the preference would be to watch Firefly once again.

Firefly Angel Defiance Forever Almost Human Shark Lie to Me The Grinder Breakout Kings Atlantis Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments Blue Mountain State Human Target Rome The Newsroom

Uhh, I think that’s it. Might have missed a couple here or there, but that should be a decent enough list. I watched some of these by downloading the entire series. I'm a hurried viewer and watch them by skipping boring content.

reply

Almost human, I really enjoyed Karl Urban.

reply

You are a lover of series, that is a good list, maybe one day one of them will be broadcast again, telling that there are many options, maybe one will return to the screen.

reply

I'd go for one of the old, clean, family friendly, wholesome black & white shows, such as "I Love Lucy", "I Dream of Genie", "Mama's Family", "The Three Stooges". on my! brings back memories! Good entertainment during that age!!!

reply

The two that came to my mind are Beverly Hillbillies and Gilligan's Island.

reply

Freaks and Geeks. Might mot be #1, but not mentioned yet, and certainly meets the description.
