Soon they will be suggesting fasting as a great strategy to mitigate food inflation. Once they learn of the potential health benefits of fasting the CDC will roll out a weekly 48 hour fast recommendation. Imagine the savings when you only eat 5 out of 7 days.
Ahh! fasting, sure! As an Indian, I can say this is the best of best strategy. Due to my religious faith, I can fast every day. In every month, we have every day reserved for different dieties across the week.
Also, I can now understand that this may well be the one reason why India is relatively less costly for serving one plate of food.
