I noticed last night too. I was 7th about half an hour before the rewards day ended and then I was 9th when it finalized so 2 stackers jumped above me at the last minute.
I never used to pay attention to any of this stuff until they added the leaderboard.
The other possibility is that you lost ground in your standings in one of the categories. It looked like you had a busy day commenting. It might be that a few of those comments got bumped out of "top" status.
For whatever reason, I tend to climb slightly at night, even though I'm not all that active. I've noticed that I often start the day much lower than I finish, whereas it seems like you jump right up to the top 10 as soon you get on.

I have had that happen too where I actually improve my ranking even though I am not active.
Just further supports my conspiracy theory that we are punished for volume usage. Algo thinks we are spam.

It does seem like we're probably sabotaging our trust scores, when we're the only two commenting back and forth.
Oh well. Build it and they will come.
Someday, we'll have too many people in these threads and a whole different set of problems.

To be fair I did comment we were wash trading sats all day awhile ago regarding our placement on the top spenders list.

If k00b isn't doing anything about nullcount, I doubt he gives a shit about this. At least we're legitimately active on a regular basis.

I moved back up to 4th and now have dropped to 7th meanwhile those that passed me don’t even seem to be active right now. Maybe someone is down zapping me.

You think you have a nemesis?
Maybe someone from the other side of the fight over territories?

With all my interaction with the Cricket pool today I have been thinking about something.
In some ways I feel like we are now the veterans on the team and we are helping develop a new crop of future all stars in the guys like crytosensei, coinsreporter, etc that will be at the top of the league soon (top 10 leaderboard) and while investing in developing them now might actually hurt our current overall "value" score it will bear fruit in the long term as we will turn them into all stars (top value stackers) which in turn will help us win as well because their frequent interactions with us will boost our value scores when they are also all stars.
This is of course not an intentional strategy but a happy benefit of not staying in the top stackers, top posts echo chamber.
No, I think you were right about earlier post or comments dropping down in the rankings due to time. I made another post and commented and zapped a couple recent hot posts in the last hour before reset last night and I jumped back to 4th.
But the nemesis theory is more fun. Let's run with that.

Does it help if a third guy chimes in from time to time? I wonder... Anyways, these top 10 or top 5 chasing game is out of my league. I'm not active enough to even make top 20, most nights I'm sitting around 30 something to 40 something. It's fun trying to figure out the system and try to game it though. Gaming is always fun.

It definitely helps to have a third person. I doubt this directly hurts us anyway, but it probably isn’t helping either.
