First of all, I am not complaining. I just noticed a lot of posts ended up zapped with 21 sats.
By my research in this site, there's a lot of conversations about 21 sats fees and giving away 21 sats. Why is that?

If your default zap is less than 21, then you probably should raise it.
It’s just a fun number for us and since zapping is so reciprocal it doesn’t matter very much what the norm is.

I think it's unfair to peer pressure others to zap a certain amount as a minimum/standard..to each their own.

I keep mine set at 10 for default but I zap anywhere between 10-1000 depending on the content.

I was going to make a ~meta post about the various symbolic numbers that get used frequently.
I think it’s fun to have numbers that carry a little weight beyond just their size.

21 is just a magic number for bitcoiners:)
These days my default zap is 21 sats, because I find it easier to keep track. It seems that we must zap at least 100 sats every day to keep our cowboy hat. Which means I must zap 5 Stackers every day. Of course, I zap more if I find a comment useful. So it’s convenient to “clock” 21 sats
Zap what you are comfortable with. 21 is just a significant number for many people here.
